Valmont Farms clinic days and private lessons are run by India Woods. India is a fully insured, previously EA qualified, equestrian coach.The following policy covers all clinics and private lessons held by Valmont Farms.
Please note that Valmont Farms also hosts clinics and lessons held by external instructors and clinicians who may have additional policies, as outlined below.
Valmont Farms clinic and private lesson guidelines
By booking a Valmont Farms clinic, event or lesson you agree to the following:
- Abuse (verbal or physical) will not be tolerated towards horses or humans and will result in immediate termination of your participation with no refunds.
- Any enquiries are to be made before completing the booking form on the Valmont Farms website. Payment is required that the time of booking to secure your clinic place or lesson.
- Valmont Farms is a working livestock and cropping property, subject to standard farm biosecurity requirements. All animals entering the property must be healthy and free from any contagious condition. Vehicles must be driven onto and parked ONLY on the main car park (see site plan at end of policy document), and the gate must be shut before unloading horses. Visitors and spectators must remain outside the arena, unless instructed otherwise. Any feed brought onto the property must be contained within the yards and all hay and manure must be picked up and removed from the property when leaving. Horse drinking water is accessible on site.
- ALL vehicles must remain in the designated car park unless prior authorisation has been granted. No vehicles are to be parked alongside the arena. All gateways and entrances must be kept clear at all times.
- No dogs are to be brought onto the premises.
Valmont Farms clinic and private lesson payments and cancellations
Payment for all clinics and lessons run by Valmont Farms is required at the time of booking. Upon receipt of payment an email will be sent to confirm your booking. Tax invoices can be supplied on request.
All private lesson bookings with India can be cancelled up to two weeks prior to the lesson for a full refund, or can be rescheduled within one month of the original lesson date. Further cancellations of rescheduled lessons will not be refunded or rescheduled.
Bookings for a Valmont Farms clinic day, activity or event can be cancelled at any time with a minimum of two weeks notice. Fees will not be refunded if cancellation is within two weeks but, attendance can be rescheduled within one month of the original booking date (can also be transferred to a private lesson).
Cancellations within 48hrs of a lesson or event will not be refunded or rescheduled (a human and or veterinary certificate will be required to confirm a reschedule on a case by case basis).
All payments can be made in advance via the Valmont Farms website www.valmontfarms.com.au or via direct deposit to India Woods (contact for details) please be sure to add YOUR name to the reference.
Weather
Valmont Farms arena and surrounds is a safe outdoor all-weather venue. While no one is expected to participate in unsafe weather conditions, if the event or lesson is not cancelled directly by Valmont Farms due to weather then it will proceed and the above booking, payment and cancellation policy will apply.
For example, if a competition proceeds and you choose not to attend due to the weather you would not be eligible for a refund— so please do not request one!
Depending on the event, clinic or lesson, there may be a bad-weather alternative (indoor arena, non-ridden sessions etc). These will be advertised with the clinic.
Extenuating circumstances
All cancellations are viewed on a case-by-case basis. For private lessons, if you are injured or unwell India may be able to ride your horse for you. If your horse is unwell you may be able to ride a Valmont Farms school horse. For all other Valmont Farms clinic days and events, the above policy applies.
External instructors and clinics hosted by Valmont Farms
If you areunable to participate, for whatever reason at a clinic or lesson hosted by Valmont Farms for which you have previously booked, you are solely responsible for finding a replacement rider. You are also responsible for collecting fees from the replacement rider.
Please note: the instructors or clinicians delivering these clinics may also have their own payment and cancellation policies. It is your responsibility to be aware of any additional instructor or clinician stipulations.
Many clinics and lessons hosted by Valmont Farms have a waiting list. In this case you will be made aware of potential replacement riders you may contact. There will be no refunds unless the whole clinic is cancelled.
